The Lebanon Mental Health Association (LMHA) is dedicated to advancing
mental health and emotional well-being across Lebanon. We believe that
mental health is an essential part of overall health and that every
individual deserves access to understanding, support, and appropriate
care without stigma or discrimination.
Our work focuses on increasing mental health awareness, encouraging early
recognition of mental health challenges, promoting prevention, and helping
individuals and families better understand when and how to seek support.
Through research, education, advocacy, training, community engagement, and
mental health services, LMHA works to strengthen the connection between
scientific knowledge and the everyday mental health needs of the community.
We address mental health across different stages of life, recognizing that
children, adolescents, adults, older people, families, caregivers, and
vulnerable communities may face different psychological and social
challenges. Our aim is to contribute to an environment where conversations
about mental health are open, informed, and free from stigma, and where
seeking professional support is recognized as a positive and important step.
By bringing together mental health professionals, researchers, educators,
community members, and partner organizations, LMHA seeks to promote
prevention, strengthen mental health literacy, support evidence-based
approaches, and contribute to healthier and more resilient communities
throughout Lebanon.
To build a society where mental health is recognized as an essential part of overall well-being and where every individual can seek support without stigma or discrimination.
To promote mental well-being through awareness, education, research, advocacy and accessible support while empowering individuals and communities with the knowledge and resources needed to improve mental health.
